Tomorrow, I am going to the doctor for an annual check up. I am not looking forward to it. I don’t care for going to the doctor anymore than the next person.

I write about fitness and health. I write about working out and losing weight. I write about motivators and tools and much, much more. I write about it because it’s interesting to me and hopefully helpful to you.

CLEVELAND (UPI) — About 50 percent of U.S. cancer deaths could be
prevented via lifestyle factors such as weight, diet and exercise, says
the American Cancer Society.

HAIFA, Israel (UPI) — Drugs used to treat erectile dysfunction, such as
Viagra, Levitra and Cialis, can be used by men with diabetes, an Israeli
review found.

BATON ROUGE, La. (UPI) — Dieting is as effective at losing weight as is
a combination of diet and exercise, as long as the calories eaten and
burned are equal, says a U.S. study.

TORONTO (UPI) — A Canadian review found food service and
construction-industry jobs are the most hazardous jobs for teens.

DENVER (UPI) — Studies show that physical activity helps prevent
diabetes and its complications, but a survey finds diabetics are less
active than other U.S. adults.

It’s the end of January – yes, I know, already. I promised you at the end of last month that I would be making some changes to the end of the month fitness goal check ups and this is our first edition of a new check up method.

The past month has been a whirlwind of teaching for me. I believe that I’m on seven days in a row of teaching at least one class a day. Don’t get me wrong – I find my work very satisfying.
