Connie Marangi’s childhood memories are intertwined with the smell of briny air and the feel of sun-warmed sand. She grew up in a home just steps away from the beach in Orange County and, since then, has managed to live near the water — in Hawaii, Carmel, Newport Beach, and now in Pismo Beach.
